Job Description: Environmental Engineers

We are seeking Environmental Engineers to be based out of our Beacon, NY office. There are openings for both Entry level and Experienced positions for delivery of environmental analysis, permitting, reports, plans and estimates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 

  • Prepare and develop investigations and analysis of environmental features in transportation and associated structural projects.
  • Preparation of environmental documentation and reports that secure permit approval by regulatory agencies.
  • Communicate and collaborate well with project managers and other project team members on assigned projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Entry Level:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Ability to work in a team to develop reports, plans and estimates with accompanying analysis.
  • Ability to perform field reconnaissance work to confirm environmental asset’s locations.
  • Familiarity with NYS SEQRA and/or NEPA regulations a plus.

Qualifications Experienced Level:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in preparing environmental reports, plans and permits for transportation projects.
  • Experience with permitting process of NYSDEC.
  • Familiarity with NYSDOT Environmental Manual and processes desired.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License or ability to obtain in 12 months a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, set and meet timeframes for interim and final deliverable products (i.e. reports, plans and estimates).
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate well with other senior engineering staff and project managers on joint projects.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
