HVEA Wins Assignment to Design Heritage Trail for Orange County

Beacon, New York - HVEA has been selected from 15 competing engineering firms by Orange County Parks, Recreation & Conservation to design the extension of the Heritage Trail.

The three segment project will follow the right-of-way of the former Erie-lackawanna Railroad. It will add to the existing 11 mile trail, extending it from its current end in Goshen an additional 10.2 miles through the City of Middletown.

The project is funded through the FHWA and Federal Transit Administration (FTA). The design will done under the oversight review of the NYSDOT Local Projects Unit (LPU).
