This Design-Build project entailed four (4) bridge replacements in Westchester County, one (1) bridge rehabilitation in Westchester County, and a superstructure replacement in Orange County. These projects included:
- Route 208 over Moodna Creek, Village of Washingtonville
- Route 9 over Dickey Brook, Town of Cortlandt
- Saw Mill River Pkwy over Saw Mill, Village of Pleasantville
- Saw Mill River Pkwy over Saw Mill River, Village of Pleasantville
- Saw Mill River Pkwy over Kisco Avenue, Town of Mt. Kisco
- DH PA DPW Road over Hutchinson River, City of New Rochelle
HVEA provided 24/7 construction oversight including the Resident Engineer, Office Engineer, Chief Inspector and up to 10 Inspectors for both day and night work. Work included bridge replacements, extensive MPT on high-volume roadways, noise wall construction, closed drainage installation and work with the watershed. Our in-house testing lab provided essential seamless coordination with on site personnel and offered an unparalleled proficiency in the field of concrete and materials.
HVEA’s Material Testing Group performed all on-site and laboratory testing on the project, including fresh concrete, compaction and laboratory testing of granular materials and concrete compression tests. HVEA’s field technicians were IAST certified by NYSDOT Region 8 staff and their AASHTO/CCRL lab was inspection and audited by NYSDOT Regional staff and approved to perform testing services on the project.
