Open Road Tolling Implementation for Various TBTA Bridges

HVEA Engineers was a subconsultant to HNTB for this major TBTA project to convert the existing toll facilities on the following 5 bridges to open road tolling:

  • Throgs Neck Bridge
  • Bronx-Whitestone Bridge
  • Marine Parkway Bridge
  • Cross Bay Bridge
  • Verrazano-Narrows Bridge

HVEA Engineers completed the civil (highway) design, profile development and analysis, superelevation design and extensive maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT) plan preparation. We also developed all of the specifications for the entire project. This was a fast-tracked assignment with tight deliverable schedules and our engineers were key contributors on this team.
