HVEA’s team was selected for the NYSDOT Term Agreement to provide Highway Safety Investigation Services in Region 8.  This work includes the investigation of approximately seventy-five (75) highway safety investigation (HSI) locations which are state highway segments, approximately three-tenths of a mile in length where the incident rate exceeds the average for that highway type. The HVEA Team will evaluate each HIS locations and will perform a comprehensive analysis to determine what may be contributing to these increased accident rates and will make recommendations for improvements.
