Job Description: Senior CADD Technician

HVEA provides a range of services including design and construction inspection of transportation infrastructure, consulting and construction materials testing services.
We are seeking a Senior CADD Engineering Technician for our Beacon, NY office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Expertise:
- Experience in Microstation and Autocad drafting software.
- Knowledgeable in NYSDOT and MTA CAD standards & protocol.
- Can convert field survey site data received from others to client CAD standards.
- Can assist with development of proposal and presentation materials as needed.
Duties:
- Train and support engineering staff in CAD software and drafting standards to meet client agency standards.
- Sets internal drafting standards and monitors staff adherence.
- Sets up project templates & monitor CAD folder structure for consistency between projects.
- Other duties as assigned
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates CAD work with outside firms to provide deliverables that meet client expectations.
- Stay current with CAD trends through design software training websites / shares information with staff.
- Reviews plans for appearance quality prior to client delivery.
- Assists engineers with research as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and presentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Engineering Technology, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
- 6+ years of relevant CAD experience.
- Proficiency using Bentley Software (MicroStation, Inroads, etc.)
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency using Project Wise and AutoCAD and Autodesk.
- Proficiency with Sketchup 2014 creating 3D models.
